Today is the last day of National Apprenticeship Week. We hope you’ve enjoyed the insights we’ve shared across social media this week from experienced bid and proposal apprentices, and their employer. If you missed it, you can catch up on what Charlotte, Vicky and Frank had to say.
Now in the final stages of the Trailblazer process, APMP UK are working closely with the Trailblazer group to help design the End Point Assessment methods with UK Government that will explain how to test the full occupational competence of the apprentice. The ambition is to officially launch the scheme later in 2017.

As we share the experiences of the industry’s first Bid and Proposal Apprentices, we hope to inspire more individuals and businesses to take part in this scheme when it launches later this year.”

The APMP UK Chapter are part of a Trailblazer Group involved in a government-led initiative which gives employers the power to design new apprenticeship standards for occupations within their sectors. The Group includes employers and professional bodies committed to being involved in the development of the Apprenticeship standards. Supported by the Department for Education and training providers, the group work together to ensure that the standards agreed will be suitable for large and small organisations, across a range of industries and sectors.
Having received approval to commence the design of a Bid and Proposal Coordinator Apprenticeship, the Group developed an Approved Standard in March 2016 which describes the level of knowledge, skill, and behaviours required to do the role. We hope to launch the scheme officially later in 2017.
