Mentor

I work freelance as a Bid Consultant and Coach across multiple industries. I started in bids as a Bid Co-ordinator 20 years ago having left a career in Marketing. I really love my job and thoroughly enjoy all the challenges we overcome in bringing teams together to win.

I have worked across all aspects of bid management with a focus on team building, coaching, answer planning, bid strategy and management, process redesign and independent stage reviews.  I have also worked with teams over the years in competitive dialogue/interview preparation, client engagement and positioning, business case review, solution and editorial reviews. I have delivered tailored bid training and workshops, bid process and regularly work on business case analysis and win strategies.  Never a dull moment!

I joined the APMP in 2006 on a recommendation from a colleague and attended my first conference. In 2008 I was thrilled to win the APMP UK Innovation Award - for managing culture change and developing an in-house bid centre.  After working alongside the UK board on specific projects, I served on the APMP Board as UK Membership Director for two years from 2010-2012.

I have had the privilege of engaging with several professional mentors over the course of my career and I want to offer a sounding board to my mentees so that fantastic relationship may benefit you in the same way it did me.
