Steve joins at an exciting time with many technology projects in the pipeline plus the ongoing development of our website. Steve has already been providing invaluable support to the chapter as part of the Technology Steering Committee; helping to shape our technology strategy and developing our new website. On behalf of the board, I’d like to take this opportunity to say 'Thank you' to Chris Colquitt for all his contributions over the years. We wish him well in his future exploits.
Another change to the board sees Alan Howard add to his Certification remit by taking on the Apprenticeship Director role until Claire Bird returns from maternity leave. I’m delighted that Alan has agreed to pick this important programme up and help drive it forward. Alan’s tenacity is well known, so I’m looking forward to sharing some more updates with you soon. I’m excited about a conference-first for APMP UK. This year we are inviting you to vote on the topics you want to see included in our conference speaker programme. This forms part of our transparency agenda (more on this soon) where we’re aiming to encourage more engagement and interaction with our members. So, by giving you the opportunity to shape our conference programme, we hope you’ll embrace it and start voting for the programme you want to see.
The board are all excited to see how this plays out, and we look forward to hearing your feedback on the process and its outcomes. Finally, on behalf of the APMP UK chapter board, I’d like to wish you all a happy and safe summer - John Darby, UK Chapter Chair
